Back on October 10th, NOAA stated that the Northern Lights would be viewable in many parts of the United States. I managed to snag a bunch of pictures that night around my house. Here they are:
As you may remember from my previous newsletters, I was in Fairbanks, Alaska in October of 2022 and I really wanted to see the lights in a city that far north. Despite going out for three nights, I never caught them. What a thrill this time when they were in my backyard.
In book news, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve recovered my writing muscle. I finished POISONOUS MURDER and it’s sitting in the inbox of my editor. It will be released on November 29, 2024 and you can pre-order the ebook now. The print version will be released about a week later.
I’ve begun work on Damian Green 6, titled EMERALD BAY MURDER. I expect to release that book by no later than February 2025. Once I finish that book, I’ll return to my Urban Fantasy series and continue my work on WITCH’S QUEST, and probably a third book in that series.
Then I have an idea for Jill Quint 16, which will be set in Wisconsin. I have a neighborhood that consists of forty to fifty houses. Since I moved here I’ve been walking my dog by a house that is rotting away which I understand the current owner plans to knock down. Apparently, an old gentleman lived there for ages and passed away in 2023 and the property passed to his heir. There’s a van, a boat, and a motorcycle each covered to varying degrees by rotting plastic tarps. Oh, and that deceased owner’s name? It’s “Bones.” Isn’t that location screaming for a murder mystery set therein? I have so many choices on where to bury the bodies.
Cheers,
Alec
