New Book

Hey, it’s been a while since I wrote about what I’m working on. I finished Long Delayed Justice. It's the 5th book in the Damien green series. It's available now for pre-order on Amazon. The book is priced at $2.99, but it will be on sale for five days only – beginning September 26 for 99c/p on Amazon. It's a shorter book than I normally write, but I felt it was all that was needed to tell the story. This concludes the Damian Green series. Next, I'll be going to work on the 3rd book in the Michelle Watson series and I’m targeting a November release. I'm also going to be doing some world-building to write an urban fantasy series potentially related to the city that Michelle Watson is from.

In one of my past blogs, I spoke about some of the urban fantasy books I've read, and I've learned to like some characters like mages and Wizards in urban fantasy, but I'll take a pass on shifters and vampires. So, guess what won’t be in my new series, lol.

As usual, I'm also working on things around my house. There are pictures below of a wrought iron table that I'm refinishing. I like finding treasures at thrift stores and then putting elbow grease into them. The glass top is stored protectively. I sanded the rust off the wrought iron and painted it black and I've been sanding the old paint off the wooden frame. That frame is taking an amazing amount of sanding.

I'm not traveling anywhere this summer. I've always avoided summer vacations because I hate to compete with families’ limited vacation dates constricted by school schedules. In the fall, I'm heading to a writing event in Fairbanks, AK. Seeing the Northern Lights has always been on my bucket list and so I'll have a chance to do that late at night after the seminar each day. I've never been to the state of Alaska before. I live in a mild climate in California, but I like to ski so I have the clothes necessary to search for the Northern Lights at midnight when it's 20 degrees outside. My only worry now is bears and moose. Does anyone know if they're out at midnight? I hope they are asleep and won't want to eat me, LOL. I have bad knees and running away from a bear, in heavy boots, in the dark, in deep snow, is a sure way to make sure the bear wins that sprinting contest.

I hope you're having a great summer and getting lots of reading done—there are so many great books out there.

Cheers,

Alec

p.s. I have some books on sale at Amazon. Books 4-6 of the JQ series are on sale at 99c/p until July 25, Death On A Green is on sale at 99c/p until July 29, Vials will be free July 27-31, and Chocolate Diamonds will be free July 23-26
