I captured this stunning sunset about two weeks ago. It’s so rich that it feels like AI. Alas, it was what I captured with my iPhone. Mother nature has some beautiful moments.

I'm working on finishing WITCH”S QUEST by June 16th. I'll drop everyone a line when my book is up for pre-order. This is book 2 in the Stephanie Jones series where she and daughter Amelia spend time in the fae realm learning magic while also trying to corral the fae prisoners that are loose on Earth. Writing urban fantasy is so much harder than writing mysteries as you constantly have to account for magic in the storyline.
I generally read a book about every two weeks and I listen to a new audiobook about every four to five days. I occasionally like a genre called Lit-RPG. RPG stands for role-playing game so these are huge fantasy stories much like video games. Characters in these stories level up as they fight monsters and gain powers. Beyond Words With Friends, I don't pay attention to online games so it's interesting that I would like books written in that manner. My favorite series is He Who Fights With Monsters by Shirtaloon. Books in this genre tend to have one-word made-up author names. Each book is huge and the technical explanations of the various worlds, their governments, their religions, are fascinating. If you like video games, I would highly recommend checking out the series. I love the narrator as the main character in that series is from Australia and so the narrator has an Aussie accent.
I’ll leave you with a funny video of my dog and cat. Daniel is a 90-pound Doberman/boxer Newfoundland rescue that I adopted when he was 6 months old and 50 pounds. Lucy is a 11-pound Manx cat that I bottle fed at age 10 days of age. She adores him, while he generally chases cats. They have been together for over eight years. I think the cat thinks that his growl is actually purring.
Happy summer!
Alec
