Happy Holidays dear reader. Poisonous Murder was released last week and is off to a roaring start. Thank you for your support.
I’ve started work on Damian Green book 6 – EMERALD BAY MURDER. It’s available for pre-order for release on February 27, 2025. I’ll admit it seems weird typing that date—we’re 25 years beyond Y2K. If you were working in 1999, you’ll remember that computer scientists were afraid of what would happen when the year turned 2000—how computers would handle the new year’s digits. Of course now it seems a big waste of time and money, but likely things were fixed by the wizard behind the mainframe curtain.
Back to Emerald Bay Murder, since this is the Damian Green series, the first investigation will be a cold case and the second problem for Damian to solve is for Hermione. As usual, he’ll have his hands full. If you look on a map of Lake Tahoe, you’ll see Emerald Bay State Park and that’s where the fictional death took place almost a decade ago. At the time, the 39-year-old tech executive’s death was labeled as undetermined and police were never able to determine if it was a homicide or not. Damian will end up with time counting down as he tries to solve business, personal, and law enforcement’s problems.
On other news, Baby, it’s cold outside and I don’t have my cold tolerance yet for this winter. Here’s a picture from my backyard looking out for about three hundred yards of frozen water. There are no more wave sounds, but no snow on the ground. When I take my dog for a walk, I put two coats on him. I walk in snow pants and my ski jacket. When the wind is adding to the low temperature, I’ll add a battery operated heated vest and battery operated gloves. Oh well, I’m excited that this Sunday the temperature will reach 43 degrees as that sounds toasty to me.
Happy Holiday to everyone and best wishes for the New Year!
Alec
