I’ll be the first to admit I’ve been distracted all summer and into the fall. (No that isn't me in the above picture). Part of that distraction was completing my three-year term as a volunteer Chapter Liaison for Sisters in Crime, a crime writers’ group. I also have a big presentation next week that took me a lot of time to create as it is essentially a 45 slide PowerPoint with 40 screenshots. I’ve never constructed a presentation almost entirely using screenshots. It’s a dry topic, so I was trying to jazz it up with graphics, but you can only get so far.
I’m still working on WHERE DID SHE GO, my second novel in the Michelle Watson series. I hope to have that book available in December or January. As soon as I have a release date, I’ll let you know. After I finish this story, I’ll return to Book 13 in the Jill Quint series to be set somewhere in the southeast United States. I need a wine state so it may be set in Virginia.
Finally, I’m attending a big writers’ conference in Las Vegas in November. If you happen to be in Vegas on November 12th, please stop by the Bally’s Ballroom 10-4, and see me in person. I’d love to meet you and talk about Jill Quint, Damian Green, or Michelle Watson. I’ll have copies of all my stories available for sale or if you already have a print copy, I’d be happy to sign it for you. Of course, there will also be candy. There will be another 300 authors representing all story genres, so there will be a book somewhere in the ballroom that suits you. Just for walking in the door, you’ll get two free months of Kindle Unlimited from Amazon. Pretty cool, huh?
Cheers,
Enjoy the fall and wishes for good health for you and your family,
Alec Peche
